In 1977, Sid & Marty Krofft, the creators of fine fine psychedelic children's programming such as the classic H.R. Pufnstuf and Sigmund & The Sea Monsters, flipped their scripts when they saw that McDonald's had bit their shit by copying the 'Living Island' set from H.R Pufnstuf for their 'McDonaldLand' ads and decided to file a 'Copyright Infringement' lawsuit. Obviously, they won. Personally, I prefer PUFNSTUF over a Big Mac anyday but I gotta hand it to old Ronnie D...that McDonald's ad sure has a creepy appeal to it!
